    «MARIS (MArine caReer Information System)»

    PURPOSE

    The MARINE caReer Information System (MARIS) project, of total budget € 1.209.259,50 #, is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and national resources of Greece and Cyprus , (SAE189 / 6) under the Interreg VA Program “Greece-Cyprus 2014-2020” (www.greece-cyprus.eu). It is part of priority axis 1 “Enhancing competitiveness and entrepreneurship in the cross-border area” and investment priority 2c “Reinforcing ICT applications in e-government, e-learning, e-inclusion, e-culture and e-health”.

    The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy / Special Service of EU Structural Funds is the Contracting Authority / Principal Beneficiary of the MARIS project, which is funded by the Interreg VA Program “Greece-Cyprus 2014-2020”, while the partner is the Ministry Transport, Communications and Works of the Republic of Cyprus / Department of Merchant Shipping. In summary, the objectives of the Act are:

    • the provision of Integrated Electronic Services to the wider maritime community and the citizens.
    • the constant attraction of young people for the targeted and focused, according to the current needs of the maritime community, the development of suitably trained and certified,a ccording to the international standards of quality, professionals in both the traditional and modern sectors of the maritime grid .
    • the communication between the two institutions responsible for commercial shipping, of Cyprus and Greece, and the exchange of the know-how and the useful conclusions for the benefit of the executives and the companies.

    The development of the website is co-funded by the European Union (ERDF) and National Funds of Greece and Cyprus.
